Malibu liqueur

Malibu White Rum is the leading coconut-flavored rum in the world. More than three million cases of Malibu are sold annually, in over 150 countries around the world. Malibu was born in the mid-17th century in Barbados in the Caribbean, when it was produced in distilleries near sugar cane plantation mills.

Barbados rum is known for its delicate flavor. It is made with fine sugar cane and a touch of soft rum butter, the ideal base for mixing with tropical flavors such as coconut, pineapple, mango and more. The production of Malibu begins with the collection of molasses from sugar cane. This molasses is mixed with water and yeast and fermented into alcohol. The liquid is triple distilled at a dedicated distillery in Black Rock, Barbados. At this stage, some of the rum is mixed with natural coconut extract and sugar and some is aged in oak barrels for a year or two and then mixed with natural flavor extracts. Finally, the liqueur is packaged in the special white bottle, featuring palm trees and the Caribbean sun.
